Mission

The Mission of Balai Bahasa Indonesia Perth (Inc) is to provide Indonesian culture and language education to assist Australians and Indonesians to interact more effectively. The Organisation will increase activities and bonds between individuals, businesses, communities and institutions in order to develop a more effective Indonesia Australia relationship at all levels. The Balai Bahasa will strive to foster a positive attitude amongst the people of our two countries.

Board

The business of the Balai Bahasa Indonesia Perth Inc. is conducted by a voluntary Board comprised of community delegates plus staff of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia Perth and a representative of the Westralian Indonesian Language Teachers’ Association (WILTA). The Board’s role is to supervise and direct the work of the Balai Bahasa Indonesia Perth Incorporated in accordance with its Constitution.

Launch

The Balai Bahasa Indonesia Perth Inc. was formally launched as a cultural, non- profit organization on 22 April 2008 at the Indonesian Consulate in Perth, by Dr Aloysius Madja, Indonesian Consul and Mr John Hyde MLA. The Organisation is based in Perth and promotes the fostering of cultural links between Australia and Indonesia at all levels of society.
